Interesting story line-time travel。 But too many words! Too much overlap of statements, thoughts, emotions! I think, with an additional edit or two, it would be much better。

IntriguingThis story was intriguing! The characters were well defined and the story good。 I have no idea what I would do in Chloe's situation。 IntriguingThis story was intriguing! The characters were well defined and the story good。 I have no idea what I would do in Chloe's situation。 。。。more

This might be truly helpful in processing grief。。。。What a thing to read when you have just put your parents into assisted living。。。。 Not sure how much of the tears and emotion are from the book, or from my current situation。 Regardless, it's a well-written exposition of an interesting concept, with just enough detail to feel plausible and not completely off the wall。 I feel like I'm pre- processing a situation that is likely in the near future for me, which is an interesting twist given the conc This might be truly helpful in processing grief。。。。What a thing to read when you have just put your parents into assisted living。。。。 Not sure how much of the tears and emotion are from the book, or from my current situation。 Regardless, it's a well-written exposition of an interesting concept, with just enough detail to feel plausible and not completely off the wall。 I feel like I'm pre- processing a situation that is likely in the near future for me, which is an interesting twist given the concept of the book。 。。。more

Two and a halfDid you see "Lost"? This reminded me of some of the later, repetitive, (yawn) episodes。 I skipped entire pages。。。 and was disappointed in the end, even though I enjoyed the idea of the story and possibly even profited by some of the "how did that make you feel?" dialogue。 Two and a halfDid you see "Lost"? The beginning and the end packed a bit of a punch but the middle kind of dragged。 I couldn't figure out why the main character's mother seemed to be irritated by everything the daughter did when she had said she wanted to spend more time with her。 The beginning and the end packed a bit of a punch but the middle kind of dragged。 I couldn't figure out why the main character's mother seemed to be irritated by everything the daughter did when she had said she wanted to spend more time with her。 。。。more

I almost didn't want to read this book given how personal the topic was to me (my dad died last year)。 But sometimes I just want to sit and wallow in my grief。 Three More Months was definitely a bit of wish-fulfillment for me in that regard。 I thought Echavarre did a great job of capturing the feelings of pain and guilt I have, and she has definitely made me think about some stuff in my own life。 It's a very sweet book, with a lot of family love in here that reminded me a lot of my mom's family I almost didn't want to read this book given how personal the topic was to me (my dad died last year)。 But sometimes I just want to sit and wallow in my grief。 Three More Months was definitely a bit of wish-fulfillment for me in that regard。 I thought Echavarre did a great job of capturing the feelings of pain and guilt I have, and she has definitely made me think about some stuff in my own life。 It's a very sweet book, with a lot of family love in here that reminded me a lot of my mom's family (big and noisy!)。 (Note: People with poor relationships with their family may find parts of this book falling flat for you。) 。。。more

SappyThe story is there just buried beneath repetitive crying, hugging and the oft repeated side hug。 Started out with high hopes for a great time travel read but was a bit disappointed by the lack of depth and unrealistic conversations。 I waded through and eventually there was a nice ending and great message about living and loving and being present in the moment。

An Amazing story - like none I've ever readThis book did not start out with the depth I found in the book ad the story went on。 A book of love and loss and family, friends and relationships。 Each chapter and page brought us。 deeper into life and joy and choices and changes that are too complex to understand or completely grasp。 This author did an amazing job writing this book and it is well worth the time to read。I never like to tell the story in my reviews - but hopefully you will experience it An Amazing story - like none I've ever readThis book did not start out with the depth I found in the book ad the story went on。 A book of love and loss and family, friends and relationships。 Each chapter and page brought us。 deeper into life and joy and choices and changes that are too complex to understand or completely grasp。 This author did an amazing job writing this book and it is well worth the time to read。I never like to tell the story in my reviews - but hopefully you will experience it yourself。 。。。more

I would definitely recommend this bookI loved how we must remember to cherish every moment with the one’s we love。 Chloe was lucky to get a second chance to spend time again with her mother that she lost building her career。

I hung with this for 168 pages on my Kindle and just had to stop。 It was unbearable。 The premise is interesting; however, the story just droned on with the daughter over correcting her mother’s life until I couldn’t take it any longer。 It was like reading a fifth grade book assignment。 You can read a few words in each page and keep going and miss absolutely nothing。

There were few parts that were interesting but overall very predictable。 I was able to read 75% of the book before i got plain out bored and tired of it

This was a thoughtful and sweet idea for a story。 Chloe is a youngish woman who has become a workaholic to achieve a dream of stability and security。 She is close to her family, but she realizes that she hasn't been spending as much time with her mother as she should - and is set to come home for a visit when her mother passes suddenly。 For a family like theirs, it was a massive shock and source of guilt/pain。 I admit, it had me calling my mother suddenly。 LOLA few days before the funeral, Chloe This was a thoughtful and sweet idea for a story。 Chloe is a youngish woman who has become a workaholic to achieve a dream of stability and security。 She is close to her family, but she realizes that she hasn't been spending as much time with her mother as she should - and is set to come home for a visit when her mother passes suddenly。 For a family like theirs, it was a massive shock and source of guilt/pain。 I admit, it had me calling my mother suddenly。 LOLA few days before the funeral, Chloe wakes to find that she has somehow been transported back in time to a time where she decided to stay home for a month and spend time with her mother。 A Mother who is still, somehow alive。 After the initial shock - Chloe does everything she can to make sure her mother doesn't suffer the same fate twice - and goes a lot overboard and drives everyone (especially her mother) nuts with her sudden need to make sure her mother is healthy。 This is kind of where I get annoyed。 Chloe goes full blown crazy trying to make sure her mom eating better and excercising - and causing quite a lot of grief to achieve her goals。 She ends up annoying everyone more than helping or trying to savor the time with her mother - as she struggles with the looming date with death ahead。 The story took a few interesting turns and had a lot of colorful facets。 It was a good reminder to make your time count, and to try to enjoy and be more present in your life。 Family and love are important in life。 The ending may disappoint some - but I found it sweet and one that you kind of hold close to you quietly。 Overall I enjoyed the book, and the little bits of Filipino American culture thrown in。 。。。more

2 1/2 stars tops。 I am confused why this is such a highly rated book。 The writing is very elementary, a lot of unnecessary detail and it doesn't evoke the emotion it wants。 The beginning and ending were clever but I found myself skimming a lot because it was just a lot of imagery and unnecessary interactions。 2 1/2 stars tops。 I am confused why this is such a highly rated book。 The writing is very elementary, a lot of unnecessary detail and it doesn't evoke the emotion it wants。 The beginning and ending were clever but I found myself skimming a lot because it was just a lot of imagery and unnecessary interactions。 。。。more

As I was reading this story, I thought of my Matt。 I wished that I had 3 more months with my baby boy。 It was a wonderful story, telling us to treasure every day with our loved ones as if it was our last。 You never know when we will be called home。 ❤️🙏

A really dumb book。I really don’t know why I read this book all the way to the end。 The premise of a successful young woman experiencing a dream about her mother was kind of foolish

Good bookI liked that the author chose an usual story about loss of a loved one。I identified with the loss of both parents at almost 21/2 months apart! The story was very unusual which the liked。 I got to meet all of the family and was pleased at how the author tied the whole story together to make an interesting read。

3。5 stars I received an early copy of this book through Amazon First Reads。 I was excited to hear that Sarah Echavarre Smith was releasing a women’s fiction book, Three More Months, as Sarah Echavarre。 Given the heroines and their backgrounds have always been what stood out for me and the romances were often elements I could take or leave (the most recent being unbearably bland), I was optimistic I might enjoy this one。 And to an extent, I did。 Echavarre does a good job of infusing the Filipino 3。5 stars I received an early copy of this book through Amazon First Reads。 I was excited to hear that Sarah Echavarre Smith was releasing a women’s fiction book, Three More Months, as Sarah Echavarre。 Given the heroines and their backgrounds have always been what stood out for me and the romances were often elements I could take or leave (the most recent being unbearably bland), I was optimistic I might enjoy this one。 And to an extent, I did。 Echavarre does a good job of infusing the Filipino cultural elements, as usual。 And one thing I’ve always loved is her characters frequently have some sort of tie to Hawaii, whether living there currently or as a part of their backstory。 And I did really feel the emotional punch of it。 Chloe’s grief in the wake of losing her mother, and then inexplicably getting a do-over was generally well-conveyed。 I liked the sense of her actively working to do things differently。 And the fact that there were consequences to her getting this second chance was also well done。 However, I did find the pacing a bit too slow at times。 It meandered, and I feel like it could have been a tad shorter, more concise, and still effective。 This is a heartwarming (and sometimes heartbreaking) read, about the importance of the relationship between a mother and child。 If that appeals to you, I would recommend picking it up。 。。。more

I can relate to the book since I lost my mom a few years ago coincidently on May 7th。 I live in another state and didn't get to visit as often as I wanted。 However, I saw her the day before she died。 When I went home after the funeral, I felt bad about not seeing her often。 One night she came to me in a dream, hugged me and told me that it was okay。 I can relate to the book since I lost my mom a few years ago coincidently on May 7th。 I live in another state and didn't get to visit as often as I wanted。 However, I saw her the day before she died。 When I went home after the funeral, I felt bad about not seeing her often。 One night she came to me in a dream, hugged me and told me that it was okay。 。。。more

Beautiful book about love, loss, and familyThis is a good read for anyone who has struggled with the loss of a beloved family member or anyone whose loss leaves a big empty space。 The idea of an alternate reality where secrets and relationship issues are dealt with in spite of the fear of causing hurt is intriguing and thought provoking。 This book comforted me and made me think。 Great read!

I actually had a really hard time deciding which rating to give this book - and that sort of sums up my feelings on it。 I really teetered back and forth between three and four stars。 However, because it did evoke strong emotion in me, I did end up choosing to give it four stars。 It starts out very well - immediately grabbed me and I sped through it。 At some point though, it started to feel very dragged out and slow to me。 The storyline felt as though it had stalled out, and I went from eagerly a I actually had a really hard time deciding which rating to give this book - and that sort of sums up my feelings on it。 I really teetered back and forth between three and four stars。 However, because it did evoke strong emotion in me, I did end up choosing to give it four stars。 It starts out very well - immediately grabbed me and I sped through it。 At some point though, it started to feel very dragged out and slow to me。 The storyline felt as though it had stalled out, and I went from eagerly anticipating the big reveal to hoping I made it there before I lost any interest。 For what it's worth, I actually didn't like the main character at all - but that isn't a complaint。 I have said it before, and I will say it again - I don't have to like a character's personality at all to think a story is quality。 The ending really drained me emotionally, and I had to skim some of the end scenes only because the particular things that were happening were making me feel very sad, and I didn't want to add wood to the fire of fear I have of these events in real life。 This is why it ended up with four stars。 。。。more

A thread between reality and dreamsFor anyone who has lost a parent, especially when you feel you have been robbed of time, of memories, of moments。 This novel brings a new perspective and mixes science fictions and the wishes of all those who want just a bit more time。
